UVB rays mainly act on the surface of the skin. They are responsible for tanning, but with excessive exposure, they can cause sunburn.

But our approach goes further. Our formula is also designed to help protect the skin from the effects of stress induced by blue light and infrared radiation, which we are exposed to daily through sunlight and screens, and which also contribute to skin aging.

Our latest innovation: optimizing our exclusive formula with an innovative active ingredient that supports the natural mechanisms involved in vitamin D synthesis. This is essential when we consider that a large part of the population is deficient in vitamin D.

Our booster contains a new generation of Phyto Glyco Fragments (PGF) derived from the glycocalyx, a kind of “protective sugar coat” naturally present around cells. The glycocalyx plays a key role in cell protection and maintaining balance, while helping to preserve optimal hydration.

Result: the skin is better structured, more resilient against external aggressions, and can continue to benefit from the positive effects of light while being effectively protected from UV damage.

Why is integrating a vitamin D booster into an SPF 50+ product interesting?

In vitro studies on the active ingredient have demonstrated its ability to increase vitamin D production even without UV exposure.

What is particularly interesting is that the booster’s effect is enhanced when skin cells are exposed to UV stress that is moderated by SPF protection. This is known as hormesis: when controlled stress provides a beneficial effect.

The active ingredient has also demonstrated its ability to act deep within the skin: it protects collagen, stimulates fibroblasts—essential dermal cells—and provides an antioxidant action comparable to vitamin C and vitamin E.

This technology combines a synergy of naturally derived ingredients that help protect the skin from premature aging caused by oxidative stress, induced by sun exposure as well as artificial light.

It notably helps counteract the effects of blue light and infrared radiation, which cause deep skin damage and are not fully addressed by UV filters alone.

A clinical study conducted under dermatological control on 22 volunteers in real-life conditions confirmed the anti-aging efficacy and preventive action against dark spots of SUNLIGHT SCREEN 50+, as well as its excellent tolerance and sensory qualities (invisible finish, non-greasy, non-sticky).
